Karen is starting Hell of a Book
This book is more about ideas of black identity, rather than dialogue or relationships, which I prefer. I will not finish.

Amazing! So much grace and vulnerability. The depth of the vulnerability shared is heartbreaking.

Karen is starting To Paradise
This was hard for me to read, as is every book that takes place in an apocalyptic, post-pandemic world. Very good though.

p 142 I knew that this new war was not even new but was only the old one come again. And what caused it? It was caused I thought, by people failing to love one another, failing to love their enemies. I was glad enough that I had not become a preacher, and so would not have to go through a war pretending that Jesus had not told us to love our enemies.
