I'm now at the point where the drama began. So far, the story is enjoyable, but I feel like the translation is lacking.

So far, the highlights for me have been the flashes of Cinder and Scarlet's near brawl at the restaurnt. Hoping I warm up more to Scarlet soon...

Read the sections on the Memoirs of Hyegyong and the Song of Chunhyang. Well written essays that gave further depth and perspective on familiar works. I will definitely revisit the text once I have read more of the referenced works. Tale of Genji and Journey to the West are next on my list.

Feel like an idiot to have just now fully put together that I've been looking at the map the wrong way; that is, south is up.
