This draws so heavily on Arendt that I’m going to have to pause it to read On the Origins of Totalitarianism to make sure I understand all the references.

there’s something very amusing about reading a book where a Japanese person observes that Americans are stinky, right on the heels of reading The Quiet American, where an Englishman observes that Americans are unnaturally deodorized and obsessed with hygiene

Bradbury is so hit-or-miss for me and yet I keep coming back to him.

This guy absolutely hates B.F. Skinner’s guts and that’s probably going to be enough for me to give this book five stars unless this book starts absolutely tanking. I would like to shake this author’s hand.

VERY excited to read this. I've been looking forward to this since I devoured the other three books in the series this spring. I always have some trepidation about last books in series, so we'll see how well Smith pulls it off.
