haven't read in a while, perfect book to rebuild a habit....

started another book too. this reads too much like a press release

Love the idea of it and almost all of what's in it--substance matters, and don't pretend it doesn't. Easy to read with its ordinary language. The chapter on communicating with dead people was a lil odd... as another chapter suggests: How about we defer to the experts on these occurrences?

Just watched his interview with Colbert, meditated, then popped open the book :)

P great so far... 1st chapter about his young family life, mainly his relationship with each of his parents. things to identify with is nice

serious coming of age novel for a newer gen; I can see why it's a classic. plz read if you're in your 20s or especially later!

Subtle self-help book. Bronson doesn't explicitly push rules on you. Instead, he just keeps letting you know all he knows--here's what's working for him. You need to find out what works for you by reading about how he discovered what works for him. He gives some principles to work off of, and the best part is it's all interwoven with his hilarious stories to make you keep on reading.

Fun, kinda interesting to read. Long ruminations on seemingly simple topics, like "love" or just the whole book's "being here now" discoveries.

Lots of easily skippable "fluff" if you're not interested in all the physical practices. But it can teach you the importance of patience and mindfulness.

lol finally... hilarious book that tries to examine the arguments "from the other side." Written well to properly knock specific points/non-arguments.

Still finding new, humane connections with Mariah in here... First it was her childhood and fitting in "racially/ethnically" and now I've been relating with her "trapped/scared " feelings w how extreme her ex treated her, not knowing what to do... Glad she got help.

I had no idea I'd find at least a couple things to identify with Mariah on in our childhoods. Nice, detailed stories from her and she's not afraid to point out what's wrong in them.

Nice start, sounds open and honest :)
