I think the mysteries in this book are much better, with more satisfying and thrilling resolutions than the first book. Also, since I knew what to what to expect in terms of the structure, it was easier to get into.

I’m committed to finishing this as an audiobook, but man was Taye Diggs the wrong pick for narrator. His monotonous delivery exacerbates Patterson’s weak dialogue and clipped sentence structure.

I honestly can’t tell if I think this book is legitimately poorly written or if it’s just bad narration. I’ll have to be sure to just read the next book to be sure.
