In a book of stupidly unbelievable things, the most unbelievable might be a woman who’s only ever driven an automatic transmission once learning to drive a 1940s Rolls Royce manual transmission in “several minutes.”

“A MasterClass in the art of mystery” this is not. I don’t think that author and I are reading the same book.

There are probably few things worse than rich and powerful people protected by their armies of lawyers.

I didn’t like the first one, but here I am.

Curiosity is going to kill me.

I like em dashes as much as the next person, but can someone please tell Rachel Gillig there are other punctuation marks?

The longer I read, the more I’m certain that I don’t like this book.

So … this is essentially “You’ve Got Mail” fanfic? Was not expecting a redo of the coffeehouse meet scene down to nearly identical quotes.

Misplaced modifiers and ambiguous pronouns and punctuation abuse, oh my!

Good thing this book is short.

I love when nails and boards are treated humanely. They deserve nothing but kindness.

Seriously. HUMANELY.

Not sure I’m mentally up for reading this now, but onward.

Almost halfway in and nothing has happened. This book is mindnumbingly boring.

Julie Klassen also needs to learn how to use pronouns.

Starting this with only a month to go until the elections is maybe not the greatest idea for my mental health.

I don’t know why I’m reading this. I have no luck with this author and this book is already … bad.
