Hm. I'm not 100% sold on this methodology. They describe 'partisanship' as measured by how much attention was drawn to a site from Clinton versus Trump supporters. More pro-Clinton attention = further left, more pro-Trump attention = further right. Where does that leave supporters of Jill Stein, and Bernie-or-Bust leftists who refused to support Clinton? That is where a "far left propaganda feedback look" would be.

Fascinating to compare his description of TV and the social effects of its mere existence in the '60s with Internet and how it differs as a medium from television. The author also uses the word "ironically" far too much.

Barely started the introduction and already I remember why post-modernists turn me off: they make points through casual allegory and linguistic games rather than through straightforward statements of opinion and fact - which I suppose is a natural consequence of the subject matter
