I got a crush on this character. Leonid McGill is smart, savvy and skilled. Live his clothes when he is undercover.

Oh my goodness, this is another successful Ilona Andrews book to me. I love her Kate Daniels, Inn Keeper and so many other series and I can see this is up there too. Different but still full of knowledgeable, tough people with a hint of romance and a lot of violence from magical and political intrigues.

So difficult to get into - I will not give up before page 100.

It has the feel of an Ilona Andrews first book on the series. I’ve read all the books written by the duo. Blended magic and violence set in a book the MFC adores. Definitely going to finish!

I am loving KingFisher’s arrogant behind. Saeris and Fisher have become emotionally and physically entangled and even though it isn’t romantic I am feeling the vulnerability each is experiencing. I think we are about to see them work as a team - finally Saeris should exhibit fighting and alchemy “bad azz” moves, please and thank you. I have the read and listen and highly approve of both narrators

Just getting started after Saeris gets transported to Fae world. So the background of the Winter palace is and her task is being laid out.
