I am loving KingFisher’s arrogant behind. Saeris and Fisher have become emotionally and physically entangled and even though it isn’t romantic I am feeling the vulnerability each is experiencing. I think we are about to see them work as a team - finally Saeris should exhibit fighting and alchemy “bad azz” moves, please and thank you. I have the read and listen and highly approve of both narrators

I am enjoying the book despite the reviews I saw. They are in KingFisher territory and it’s obvious Saeris and Fisher are deeply in lust… 😂😂😂 I can’t wait until
Saeris pulls off the deed with then quicksilver.

Just getting started after Saeris gets transported to Fae world. So the background of the Winter palace is and her task is being laid out. She doesn’t feel the love anymore than she did at home before the queen and guards tried to kill her. Not sure what her metal power does. 😂 her reaction to the bath tub of water and the snow in Fae territory

A sense of futility in this book. The women are underestimated and mistreated.

Half way through and I am confused. I keep going to the beginning of the book to sort out who is who. Although the women are bad ass and this is a fantasy book I may have to switch to audio to finish the book

This book is intense. The sense of doom due to loss of life and the unknown is heavy.

So sad 😞 the flashbacks to the before in Ghana.

I Had to correct Keigel spelled it wrong in last progress report. This second in a series of three does not deliver “before” and “after” like the first book so the intensity is all current day.

About half way through and the fallout from the first book is serious. Visiting their home in Ghana and taking Kiegle, Georgia and Cort means something to Nena but after Kenya she can’t let her guard down. Death lurks….

I have the read and listen in this book. I must say I am enjoying it and am on pins and needles due to the action, subterfuge and heart breaking 💔 concern Nena and Elin have over the pain of loving. The pregnancy is also a big deal for both sisters. Georgia is delightful and precocious.

The before is horrendous; the after/now is a consequence of before. This is book 1 in this series. So far just wow 😮

The world builder and character history provided by the author are detailed and descriptive- so helpful and rich!

Loving this investigation and dinner with Mavis, Bella, Peabody and McNabb. Macis husband is a doll. Roarke is as dreamy and worldly as ever. I love Dallas and Roarke’s marriage rules.

Graphic novels are wonderful but it takes work reading on your phone with old eyes lol

So rabies has taken over the entire world in this story case California. I am a little confused why the visits to the last time they were on their way to the cabin. Like the classifications Rabibs, recent ones, starving etc.

Starting Living Creatures after finishing Sweet Tooth, what a hot mess of a Halloween 🎃 night. I used to dress up and pass out candy for the neighborhood children until one year all the children seemed to be teens and young adults. I think after age 17 you should be trick or treating- go to a party. Still remember my dad check all the stuff we would bring home for razors etc. What has the world come to?
