The description of Odysseus stabbing Polyphemus' eye was gag inducing. Genuinely one of the most horrific things I've read recently

Not to shit on Odysseus too much but its crazy that he slept with Calypso one last time before he left. Penelope is fully aware that if she picks a suitor—even if its to save her and her son's life—she maybe (justly by some) murdered by Odysseus or Telemachus. But fidelity isn't expected of him at all.

Again he's really going through it and I won't judge too harshly but damn the double standard.
