I was having trouble getting into it because I kept waiting for the plot to begin. But now I think Sanderson might be using kishotenketsu structure, which I knew nothing about until recently and so couldn't recognize. If that's true, it might be the missing piece of context for me to properly savour the remainder. That just means my overall enjoyment & rating of the book is going to depend entirely on its conclusion

Listening to this book in French is an undertaking that is seriously intimidating me. So, no doubt about it, I just had try and do just that.
