So far, the story seems pretty dated. The sexism in particular stands out. The writing is solid, and I'll keep going, but thought I'd get this out there.

My joeghbor has started a "Banned Books Bookclub" in Hermosa and this is our first book. I'm through about 80% of it and have found it to be insightful, beautifully written and an entirely accurate account for those of us who found high school awkward. (Or ourselves awkward in high school.) It doesn't pull punches and delves into all sorts of adolescent areas of growth as people grow into adults. Love this book.

Very intriguing plot and you fell like you know these characters intimately. Amazingly well written novel.

So, read this on a list of "The scariest books ever!" So far it's pretty good, but it feels like it's written by someone who came up with a clever name for a Goth Rocker (Judas Coyne... get it?) That aside, pretty original ghost story and it has enough gore to compel me forward.
