Two thirds of the way through. A gripping story has emerged from the extensive scene-setting & character introduction. It definitely takes a while to warm up but once it does, it's got you by the short n curlies. Masterful, restrained story telling. Well worth a read.

Just read the prologue. This book is going to be voracious. The poetic language, the visual imagery, the creative expression is already evident.

was expecting to get an analysis of shy there is so much exoticism around the east but actually got info about authors who has had a love affair of sorts with the east.
