A dark fantasy story, told mostly from the perspective of an egocentric woman with a white saviour complex (Sciona), living in a patriarchial, magical society, and her journey towards learning solidarity and allyship. I would have loved to experience it more from Thomils POV, but it made sense actually at some points to experience her growth and questioning of power. it‘s bloody, heartbreaking and hopeful.
