It’s absolutely a well developed story with characters that linger, but, for me, a third of the way into it, this novel feels more like a movie-in-waiting.

Preferring paperbacks, I waited as long as I could for the trade edition to be published, but I finally gave in and purchased the hardcover. Unfortunately, due to the annoying characters and excruciatingly slow plot development, I could not wait to finish this story, so skimming paragraphs and jumping to the end became unavoidable. I think the publishers are a bit too eager to get on the Gone-Girl train.
