This novel is somewhat misrepresented in its blurbs, something which is readily and cleverly accounted for in Ch. 2.
So far I’ve gasped several times, shed a few tears, and been reminded that representation is everything.
The cover pulled me in; the inner jacket flap made the sale; and I suspect already that I’m reading a new top 10 winner in my list of contemporary fiction favorites.
