Reading this book feels like there are lines, paragraphs and pages missing. It’s hard to fall into a groove while reading because the story is so disjointed.

The premise of the book is interesting but the author just isn’t skilled enough to tell this tale. A shame.

The story I interesting but, gosh, I wish the author had a better editor. The writing is chaotic, a thesaurus was overused and holy comma splice!

Tedious. This is such a tedious read.

The way this book is written is exhausting. Thoughts without thoughts within thoughts.

Ugh. I read all the other books in the series, including the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, but I can’t remember them for the life of me so I don’t think I’m getting the most out of this book.

Daniel is emotionally manipulative, lacks accountability/blames Viv for everything and projects onto his daughter way too much.

Vivian must be her therapist’s least favourite, most neurotic client.
