10 hours into the audiobook with 7 hours left to go, and I had to take a break and listen to another book. Normally I'd just move on and not finish, but I want to read the last 2 books in this series (not focused on Rose and Connor) so I need to know what happens in Fuel the Fire. As I've mentioned before, Rose and Connor's books rub me the wrong way. The media-related dramas feel forced and unrealistic.

I've finally figured out why I dislike Rose & Connor's books so much. They're two of the smartest people in the country, literal geniuses. Other characters in this series have addictions, traumatic events, & other internal issues that cause drama. Rose and Connor have less of that, so they're given ridiculous media-related storylines; it doesn't ring true for such brilliant people.

Audio chapter 11 of 72. These 2 series are too intertwined. I'd like to skip the Calloway books but will miss too much. The age difference makes me squeamish--Daisy is 18 but immature. Making money doesn't make her an adult. She won't have hard conversations, or stand up for herself. She lets her mother run her career and life. Learning those skills is easier with a peer than with the power imbalance of an older man.

I'm on chapter 18 of 53 in the audiobook. I wish the authors had chosen a different plot. After the first 3 books in the companion series, I was looking forward to reading about Lily's sisters. But every single bit of drama in this book feels contrived, just a product of the reality tv show. I'm finding it difficult to believe that certain characters would have agreed to do the show. Not sure if I'll finish this.

I'm more than 3/4 of the way through this, and I'm struggling to finish it. For a short book, it sure has dragged on! There are many things that bother me about it, but right now it's Sarah essentially insisting that something highly traumatic from Jonas's childhood is exactly the same as her fear of heights.

Strongly considering DNFing this one. I don't like the characters much, and I'm not buying into the romance aspect of their relationship. Too much came before that seems to be getting swept under the rug.

Listening to the Audiobook, and I'm only at about 20%. Going to stick with it a little longer, but this is in serious danger of being a DNF if it doesn't improve. There's nothing big wrong with it, I just don't like Cane at all and don't enjoy the interactions between him and Jada. No point reading a romance if you don't like the couple together!

I'm on chapter 5 of 18 in the audiobook. I really hope this improves, but the few reviews I've read don't give me hope. Lane is 26 but acts 13. She hasn't spoken to her family for 6 years--surely there's a better reason than the one she alluded to, that they were mad she moved from England to the US? The childhood flashbacks aren't working for me because the characters don't act their ages.
