So far, I am a bit disappointed. I should have done better research on this one before purchasing it at the book fair. It is by an author whose series I loved but it is written in too much of a direct format. I just keep getting told and told but lacks discovery and mystery that I enjoy in a dystopian. The first chapter was rather flat.

I so needed an in my head book! I love that I am on page 4 and I have had to look up 5 words. I needed something in this headspace.

I really enjoy the main character. Part machine but a strong level of humanity. It isn’t what I expected when looking at this series.

I am fascinated by how they work in morality and St Francis into this text.

Trying to savor this one as I need to read, soak it up, then watch for that part in Mass. I feel like I am starting to get more out of Mass as I am attentive to the intention of each part.

I forgot I had picked this one up! It is hard not to just sit and read it all. I really enjoy the main character and the bits of faith hidden in the book so far. It is unexpected that it would have so many pages talking of the Virgin Mary based on the summary of the book.
