I expected to live this book, I was really looking forward to reading it but so far I'm bored with the story. The characters are undeveloped and the storyl8ne isn't moving along

I'm on chapter 5 & I'm quickly reminded of why I quit reading Danielle Steel books. They all sound the same, the beautiful girls with sky blue eyes and perfect figures, the most handsome boy & they all come from close kitten families that are just shy
of perfect. At least she hasn't repeated herself 4 times by now like she usually does

I'm not sure how so many people are saying they can't put this book down. I'm struggling through the beginning of it. So far the characters are superficial & a tad unlikable. Hope it gets better or it will be a DNF.

I could write this review with my eyes closed because it's the same plot we've read 26 times before.

I'm not really sure WHAT I'm reading. The description of the book is about a plane crash & a lost love but so far I've read an awful chapter on Egyptianology that I kept falling asleep through, a rocky marriage & now a depressing death doula who prepares people to die. Good golly I'm only on the equivalent of chapter 3 or something. I'm only sticking this out because Jodi Picoult has been one of my favorite authors

I'm not sure if it's this book or it's me but we are not meshing well. I don't have time to put it down to pick it up later on because there's so many holds on it at the library that it can't be renewed.

This book is a brick wall at the end of a great series. I read all the other books very quickly, about a day on each one. But this one has brought my reading progress to a standstill. I guess i'm just not invested in Kyle as a character.

The inconsistencies in this story compared to the original narrative of it are glaringly obvious. Axel didn't know Hawke had moved. However, originally Axel was the one who called Frankie & said he didn't know that Hawke was taking the job in NYC & leaving that day.
Then in Thursday when Frankie is in the hospital they say she's breathing on her own but follow that with a ventilator being down her throat.

I liked this book but I couldnt get past the preposterous storyline. She goes to a foreign country, leaves her baby with a complete stranger everyday and sets off on her own personal manhunt for her friends and interferes with a murder investigation. I actually gave up on the book 3/4 of the way through and just read the ending. There was so much unnecessary storyline.

I can barely put this book down. The content is sad & heartbreaking but written so fluidly that it's captivating.
