I cannot be the only one who not only doesn’t care about Robin and Strike being romantically involved but finds the whole way they go about everything so incredibly juvenile??? The mysteries are really well done and I love the characters _individually_ and honestly I really like the idea of them as friends so I just hate hate hate this like, „Oooh will they/won’t they“

This book has become increasingly hard to read and I don’t know if it’s because I just became a mom to a little girl or what but my stomach is in knots and has been for most of the book now. Obviously kudos to the writer but this is going to be tough to finish.

I‘m not that far in but Lisa Jewell is so far a master at making you want to read more.

I’ll be honest it’s rare I make it to the very last book in a fantasy series so the fact that I’m still reading this one is impressive. But it doesn’t mean I super like the book, more I’m just invested enough to care what happens to the characters.

This book has lost its fucking mind. And not in a fun way.

Oh no, it’s a big international spy mystery one. My least favorite. Going to try and power through this one. 😓

This is one of those books that since about halfway through I think I’ve figured it out but also I really like the solution, so either way I am going to be happy at the end. Either I’ll be surprised or it’ll be what I expected but a very satisfactory ending!

Oof this book is getting heavy. I mean it’s been heavy the whole time but it’s just not really letting up and I feel so sad for Sadie.

There are, I feel, two very obvious choices for the killer. I feel like one of them is super obvious and am rooting for it to be the other one because I would be much more interested in hearing that explanation. There are technically two other options, both of which I would also be more into so here is hoping I’m not disappointed!

Having fun with this book! Who knew Agatha Christie wrote a detective story set in ancient Egypt?

OK well I hope this gets better. I like the characters and the writing for sure but the story is just a bit too all over the place for me atm.

I just don't like it. Idk. The drawings are really cute but everyone *really* annoys me and I think that's the point but it's just not really working for me? I also just have yet to meet a graphic novel I enjoy reading. I think they're great and I know a lot of people who love them but every time I try I just don't enjoy it at all? Idk.

This book is just not at all going where I thought it was?!? There's mention of cocaine usage now all of a sudden????? Idk what was going on with Agatha Christie when this book was being written but it's bleak. If I was Christie's daughter & read this book I would have lots of mixed feelings.

This book is just not what I expected? Like there's your typical romance but both characters are very self aware and honest and upfront about their relationship trauma/issues with themselves and each other and I find it very refreshing because I'm now wondering what the conflict is going to be.

Have been so stressed, talked to my mother-in-law about how I just needed a book to relax & not think & a few days later she had sent me a package with this book in it. So far it's cute & fun but also just want to say how I appreciate my mother-in-law so much ❤️

Agatha Christie usually does a great job of commenting on society/culture but this book is doing a great job. So many scenes have been on point but this one, where a girl who's been poor and is struggling because she fell in love with our main character who is not actually rich (his mom is) and he's being so tone deaf about...

Honestly love the reminder this book is giving me of how important it is to take children seriously and not laugh at the things they say/questions they ask because they're just trying to understand the world. Did not at all expect this to come from an Agatha Christie novel but here we are!

Omg noooo. The thing I hate most is when novels in a series that were previously only told from one person's perspective...IN FIRST PERSON NONETHELESS...switch to another person's perspective. God I hate it so much.

Ok well apparently I'm just binging my way through this series. It's gotten almost a little too battle-heavy for me but it hasn't been super bad. Mare is pretty unlikeable atm but also understandably so. Idk what I'd be like with all of her trauma so no judgement here.

This is just speculation but it's a fantasy series and as much as I love them, my guess is that the guy/prince we think right now is good and the one who's bad is going to reverse and the "good" one will betray her. Also her wise mentor guy is like, "I like this one. I don't trust this one." & I don't think wise mentor guys are ever really wrong? Hoping I'm wrong but...
