A book that should be right up my street, but I'd boring me silly, and my headway very, very slow. The opening was horribly forced, and while I absolutely get it was supposed to be (the story is the point, not how the characters got there), it set my teeth on edge. And here I am, halfway in, and this is a one-trick pony. Oh look, it's a dungeon set up. I get the gags, very funny, does it do anything else?

Proving to be a bit of a struggle. However much old love I carry for the setting, everything is so sprawlingly vague that I keep nodding off. There's no definition or decisiveness to anything, just a lot of somewhat aimless political prodding and shuffling. Too many characters, too many minor plot threads, no drive or focus. And Guenhwyvar seems to have miraculously changed from an 'it' to a 'she', for some reason.

Powerful allegory for the mass-production of AI slop, and the loss of real reading, creativity, and imagination.
