I like it so far. I loved the action and fast pace at the beginning. Now, Willow is in school, the action of her abilities are low and the action has slowed down a whole lot. Intrigued by how it will end and what type of weapon her father has made her to be.

I like this series with the forensic info but I do not like Wesley and Scarpetta’s relationship now from the last book and this book. I wish it would stop, now I remember why I stopped reading these series at book #4. Also, I would have loved to know how Mario felt after Kay saved his life from the last book. I am going to continue to read because of the Amazon tv series coming in 2026.

Slow start for me. Could be too early to tell, I will read about a hundred more pages to see if I need to DNF. Nice plot and story but I am wanting action, suspense to start soon. I just can’t get into kingdom stuff. ( queen and king). Ok, off to see if the book can change my mind.

So good. I love this series. I laugh out loud all the time.
