Superman prisons are incredibly inhumane. Essentially solitary confinement 23 hours of the day. No cell mates. You can’t see any other prisoners. I think I feel similarly about this as I do the death penalty. Which is to say, I think there there are some people that are evil and don’t deserve to be alive. AND I don’t think the state should be able to judge or enforce that. Same with solitary confinement

(Continued) At the time, people would be opposed to the treatment of people under the system, yet not be able to imaging how society would function without them. Looking back, it is obvious that those systems could be abolished. Will we have this same hindsight perspective on prisons once they are abolished?

Davis points out that many people lack the belief that prisons could be abolished because they can’t imagine a system without them. She asserts that many people felt this way about slavery and segregation as well.

Im having problems with this book. I hate this Ginny characterization. It’s so unbelievable. The Weasleys are just gratuitously evil. Also, I have grown to dislike such unrealistic relationships in romances. Omg Draco and Hermione are soulmates and they are 100% perfect for eachother and NOTHING else in their lives matter except their relationship. That is such an unrelatable (and unhealthy) standard to set.
