This is a very big book. I thought I'd read it in bed, but it's not easy to heft. So far, the first story is really, really long and slow going.

I'll return to this book, but I wanted to read Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee first. I visited the memorial this summer. So far, Wounded Knee is delivering a harrowing account of how the West was really won, and every other part of the U.S. as well.

Slow going so far, but I was reading a thriller and a romantic suspense at the same time, so the pacing of this book wasn't going to really mesh with the other two. I'll try a few days of this book only before deciding if I am just not in the mood for this type of a read right now.
