DNF; couldn’t get into this.

I generally don't expect much from autobiographies, particularly those of public figures or celebrities, so it's startling how good this is.

Predictably similar to other multi-generational Asian family sagas. Basically a soap opera. Writing is simplistic, with a flat emotionless affect. Curiously short on historical detail. Still, it’s modestly enjoyable light summer read so far.

I didn't expect the title to be so literal. In fact, I'm pretty sure the narrator suffers from some form of emotional or intellectual impairment, despite being a freshman at Harvard. I'm also pretty sure that my Kindle accidentally skipped 50-100 pages, and it hasn't made a bit of difference to the naval-gazing kvetching of a privileged teen. It's sprinkled with the occasional dry wit,I'm curious enough to keep going
