Dnf at page 248. I loved Recursion and Dark Matter. This one had an interesting premise but not much happened. Also, to me there is a fine line between blocking out your emotions and turning into a complete psychopath, which Logan's mother and sister really seemed to struggle with and project onto him. As the daughter of someone who emotionally abandoned and denied me, I believe we should be careful what we support.

This book is a trip! I guess we are our own worst enemy.

I am enjoying the plot...however, I just read some of the most ridiculous nonsense from Jon's wife. Why do two parent people look down on anyone raised by a single mom? Ugh. So sick of it. I was raised by a single mom and grandparents. I am just fine. Some of the writing in this book is just so 'old timey.' Also, I have gotten this feedback for years. I salute all single parents !

So it seems like you have two choices as a character in this book... be pathetic but kind, or be terrible but get your way. Ugh. Horrible characters all aound

All of the parents in this book are such jerks. It makes me angry to read about them. Also, if it is the 1990s and you are manic depressive, why wouldn't you get treatment? It's very unhealthy, the way both parents of Henry and Clare think it's ok to continue these toxic behaviors. Not healthy.
