I would love if the authors trusted us to infer some of the symbolism instead of immediately explaining what something connotes.

So much of this book is aimless. Pointless. There is no motivation. It’s just walking around the woods. WHAT IS THE GOAL

The writing is terrible. It’s written so poorly - characterisation where?

The scenes develop into the most nonsensical path…

I’m getting frustrated reading this. I don’t feel I’ve learnt anything new about this world since Chapter 2. For me, it’s boring to read non stop action. I don’t care about these people. I don’t understand their world, and what drives them to survive.

Clearly, I prefer political fantasies over this.

I want the world to develop more and it’s going nowhere.

I can’t believe fans hate this instalment. I find it so interesting how each character is dealing with trauma after the war.

I finished the original trilogy 5 years ago to date. That series made me so horny I went out and dated the first bloke I could get - terrible idea, Cali, never do that again. That guy wasn’t a fan of me reading romance books, so I didn’t pick them up for the longest time!

Five years later, and I’m finally reading this sequel. They have been on my mind for FIVE YEARS. I’m coming for you, Kimmy!!!
