The shell of Ekatarina, thought dead in the destruction of Ashaya's lab, is callously delivered to the door of Shine director Dev Santos. A deliberately traumatized woman, designed to get under his skin, left to cause destruction. Instead, she returns as Katya, refusing to be buried, and determined to shed light on a hidden massacre.
Judd gets recognized for his heroism & Keenan and Noor prove the value of emotion.

Mercy and Riley's non-conventional mating has finally sealed the alliance between Mercy's leopard DarkRiver pack, and Riley's wolf pack of SnowDancer, opening the juvenile gates to inter-pack flirting and all the potential drama that will no doubt come with it. Both Hawke and Lucas (Alphas of the packs) are delighted.

Things are calm within the packs & we now visit a new under pressure Psy, and the human noticing it

Dorian's been pulled back from going Rogue, Ashara has defected to DarkRiver inadvertently drawing her sociopathic twin Amara with her, and things in the Psy world get worse.
Kaleb continues his search, Anthony keeps his cover intact, even as he's promoted to the Council, Henry begins acting suspiciously, and Ming's death squad appears to harbor more rebels than anyone would guess.

On to Mercy and Riley!!

Clay's Tally has joined the Web of Stars, her degenerative issues finally solved with that bond. Teenaged Jon, and little Noor have also found sanctuary with DarkRiver, but the woman who found a way to free them is running out of time.

Time to see Ashaya unlock Dorian's genetics in the next one, while The Ghost makes even bigger waves in the Psy-Net.

Judd and Brenna have survived the murderer, and disarmed the heinous controls within Judd's brain, so now we're back to the leopards, to find out what's been keeping Clay on the razor's edge of control.

Sascha & Lucas are getting more settled, and Faith's shacked up with Vaughn... time to visit the wolves :)

I'm putting this down for a while. I'm TRYING to take in the world building, there's just so much of it up front, that around 3/4 through chapter 3 my brain stops recognizing the words as part of a story.

I'll come back in a couple of months.

Only on chapter 4 and I see why so many people thought I'd enjoy the series. Hadrian's introspection as major events occur around him is exactly my cup of tea.
