So, I was trying to finish this before it was no longer included on Audible, but that didn't happen. I'll probably use a credit to finish it, especially as I'm really liking it, but idk yet if I want to now or wait a little bit. I also got far enough that all but 1 of her films that are a part of TCM's Summer Under The Stars lineup were discussed, which along w/ it expiring is one of the reasons crammed reading this.

As this is a bind-up, I've only read The Wonderful Wizard of Oz so far. I think I finished it on November 14th, the latest would have been the 17th, seeing that I started Wicked on the 18th. I then focused on Wicked specifically, but I plan on continuing both series. I'm just not sure where to focus first, now.

I started reading a bind-up of the first three books of Oz, but the edition info has to be updated on here. So in the meantime I'm just noting that I started it on November 11th and finished The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1 of 3) on the 14th.

yes, I, a 28 year old am reading The Spiderwick Chronicles

The chapters of this have date headings, so I'm reading each chapter the day it takes place. That means I will finish on March 31st, but at least I know I'll be reading a little bit pretty much every day.

Cinderella ✔ (this version is the one most similar to how Cinderella's story is presented in Act 1 of Into The Woods- her mother's grave/tree, the gold and silver dress, the gold shoes in particular)

The Red Shoes ✔ (I read this story online in December but decided to read it again in this book because it is short and I just rewatched The Red Shoes (1948) film. I liked the version online better. It seemed more startling and gruesome.)

and I also read The Snow Queen online back in December. as it is the longest story (~50 pages), I might skip it.

I knew it was going to happen (one of the spoilers I knew for sure), but I'm devastated 😢💔🕊

first time reading this series! I also haven't seen any of the movies.

not me being in the middle of so many books rn 🙃

I just realized there's usually another story or mystery within the main case of these books. One event/situation in the past in particular that is significant to the case and figuring out who the murderer is.

Engaging, great writing (I need to read more by Polidori!), but lacking in vampiric lore. Mysterious, though. Definitely have to give it props for being the catalyst for an obsession and interest that has evolved and continues today.

(I have been busy and not made the time to read but I'm pet-sitting coming up so I'll have so more free time to catch up on reading. Marking where I am in the book rn in case my bookmark falls out in my bag.)
