This one is so depressing so far. Fern has 0 self confidence and I get that we are in her head with the first person POV, but her ability to lay herself down as a door mat with a “stomp here”, is really making the book drag.
Probably the point and maybe it gets better, but for now….drrraaaaggggggiiiinnnnggggg.

I hate how the MC is written. She’s 10 but sounds like she’s 6 or 7.
And the story is very very unrealistic. I’d prefer if it was a fantasy or something, then it might be semi-believable.

I don’t understand this woman. I’m beginning to hate her actually.

Actually really good so far. I wasn't sure I would like this since I burned out on YA Fantasy years ago, but am totally enjoying it.

This is so macabre, humourous and feels extremely normal while reading about the abnormal.
