Not loving this so far. Feels a lot like our protagonist is a modern day feminist girlboss that got transported to 1789 along with her worshipful husband

It’s not bad but the novelty of the book is wearing thin

I really like Michelle’s narration

I like that the main character is a biologist. I do find her a bit irritating though - she's a copy and paste of the Nettle and Bone protagonist.

Very unserious and the humour is somewhat crude/juvenile/heavy on the penis jokes. But sometimes all a girlie wants is a fluffy read that allows her to turn 90% of her brain off
