I don't like this one at all so far. I love a tragic character, but he's just an ass.

24 pages in and I know almost nothing about the main character. Just a long introduction to the family and household. Funny. But Im not sure if i like the writing style.

Just starting. Kind of bummed it isn't in audio format. Nor could I find it digitally at the library. It was on kindle unlimited however.

I hate this book. I hate everything about the story and it puts me in a bad mood. Everyone is so completely out of character. Idk if I can finish it.

Plot twist, and I don't think I like it. Although, maybe explains things?

It was a very slow start. But as it moves, it's becoming funnier and funnier.

EYEROLL. The cornyness. I'm sorry. It was getting better and then the whole ending was just dramatically overdone. I don't understand. I adored the last book. It's not just the flat characters but the cliché lines. I'm going to finish and hope the next is more like the first one.

Marginal improvement. Finally we see some growth. I still don't much care for him. But I suppose he has potential.

I am just not at all liking this book so far. The characters are forced. I do not like Mr. D at all. I'm not convinced of any growth and get no chemistry between the mains. Which is too bad because I like the idea of the story. Perhaps he's just boring and overbearing with no depth.

Gosh, I hope this book resolves. The last bit has been very triggering. I hate the separation over the situation. Hate it. It is selfish and cruel and is ruining the book for me. I feel the author is taking his punishment too far. It's not justified and childish. If she really loved him, honestly loved him, then they would work it out. These months are killing me. Humans are flawed. We all make mistakes

Oof. Another coming of age story from Ms. K and this one is fighting it. Amber is a result of familial neglect, so real for the time. As a result, she is a viper. Her fall is hard. I don't want to spoil any story, but I can share that Ms. K writes a really real character, and this one is fighting change with every ounce of her body. It's slow in the middle. So much mental thoughts and conversation and less action.

It is not funny for someone to flinch at you because they thought you would physically assault them. I'm only still reading this because the narrator is fantastic.

Again, more violence. You take a riding crop to ANYONE and I'm done with you. The author is going too far.

I'm contemplating putting this down. Ug. The book was perfectly fine except the overbearing earl manhadling Emily as punishment even when she demands he stop in front of the servants. This is a line crossed in my opinion.

I ADORE this book. I think it's my favorite I have read in a very, very long time. Maybe in my top 5. This couple is perfect. The audible narrator is icing on the cake.

Oh, this is hysterical. I've been disappointed in other narrators lately, but this one, per usual, 'knocks it out'!

I really, really need writers to go for a ride on a horse. Casual conversations while galloping or cantering or even trotting are taxing. Pulling a rider up double is much more complicated and uncomfortable than just sitting in someone's lap. There are a lot of missed nuances when it comes to horses that periodically jerk me out of the story.

uh... did that just really happen or was it in Roger 's head? that would be beyond creepy. love this book.

I thought I would power read but I am finding myself really savouring this time.

Apparently I am the only person who takes issue with the Hero having been the villain in the last book and was the one to torture and kill the heroines father. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get past this. I want her to just go running in the other direction.

*So, that was a twist. I might make it through now. I still can't reconcile who the H is now vs who he was 10 years ago in the last book.

halfway through and I find the hero to be a total asshat. I'm contemplating even just setting the book down. I don't want Varity to give up or give in. not based on seduction. it's kind . of making me mad. I just wish he would win her over with actually listening to her not getting her body to betray her. ug.

Really like the intro to the book so far. Right from the start I'm wanting to know more about this whole situation! And I really like NIck, I can't wait to get the kids to bed tonight!

I read the first page. Decided I needed a few more days after book two to psych myself up.

This is amazing! why did I wait so long to read this series? I am loving the world building and characters so far.
