On a side note a tiny part of me is hoping this goes the route of Captured 2(won't spoil the game) with Other Mommy cause that would be interesting. Probably won't though.

Man, now that the "cast" involved with Other Mommy has expanded out, it really feels like the plot has slowed down A LOT

I'm going to call it that this book is an abuse allegory but not sure if it'll actually be that(I did see spoilers for some of the later scenes in the book)

As I was reading I was really starting to wonder about the kid's age. I thought she was like 5 and then she mentioned school and speeches and looking at the inner flap, the kid is 8. As someone who works with children, Bela feels so much younger to me.

Saw that trailer for Other Mommy on Twitter and found out it was a book so here we are.

Struggling with the second story as Keita is really kind of a bum before this and his mother really enabled the behaviors(yes, anxiety can be serious but it's clear how he got here).

I know the fun is the quriky cats but with Hercules having the power to go through walls...just leave him in the snow. He can get back in if he wants to. Like it's literally a child acting out to get what he wants.

I wish they gave us more on why Willow and Ragwort get along? Like from Luna's POV they seem super close but I'm not getting that same vibe from Willow'a POV

Okay I need this book to stop being a mystery and go back to being a cozy mystery as promised because the stakes are a little high on this one.

Okay that trigger warning in the beginning of the book feels valid because I'm pretty triggered(I grew up around a lot of Filipinos). But because of all of that it really isn't reading cozy mystery to me at all right now.

Desi culture wise, having a great time. Other than that I feel like this book is really meandering. I had a moment of, "I'm only in the 200s!?" page wise cause I feel like I should be at the end.

It's fascinating to me to read how Kausar makes chai as I do not make it that way.

The mention of Hyderabad makes me really endeared to this book. Go south India!

About 54 pages in and the murder hasn't happened yet. It is a pretty decent read so far and things are moving along but I need something to happen soon.

Okay I need the horror elements to start as I don't like Rachel or Finn as characters so I need the spooky things to keep the story going for me.

Finally getting farther in this book and so far I gotta say, this is giving me a, "don't explain the magic" vibes to it. Like the whole they are in society is laughable

So I genuinely wish we were just hanging around Sean and whatever he's doing as Mina's sections are just boring as heck.

Soooo how is Ciara paying for anything right now? Also like what did John's family say to the fact that he's missing?

Really hope something happens in this book because it's been real boring so far.

Survived book 1, time to see if book 2 is any better.

I saw a couple episodes of the cdrama and man, uh I guess it goes in a different direction than the book version huh

I'm surprised how much book is left after they got out of the woods.
