Part 5 of 7 curiosity ... part 3 of 4 in part 5 before audiobook expired.

This one is getting muddled like the first in the series and it is losing me...easy to put down....

Re-read from 2005... I remember laughing out loud several times reading this...want to see what I think about it now

Leo is exiling Katie and her sister Alesha to Atlanta for betraying him in the previous book. Katie will be the Master of the City there and head of Clan Fonteneau

Kem attacked Jane to save his life she made him a zed and made Rick her beta. Now Rick is Kem’s alpha and he owns all Kems possessions and mates.

Ayatas May really be Jane’s baby brother

Jane took Ayatas to meet Leo and Rick LeFleur showed up and now Kemble the black were leopard is in HQ

Chapter 1 a skinwalker male, Ataya hot wind comes to Jana’s door. He wants her to introduce him to Leo and he calls her sister.

She returns to Vivi and Heather has left Vivi since she glamoured her when they were in Faerie. The book ends with Jude back in the mortal world with her mind realing..

Cardan convinces Jude he will marry her and she can have her own power if she will free him from her command. She agrees, queen Orlagh confronts Cardan and he out schemes her and then because she killed Balekin he bans her from Faerie and sends her to the mortal world. She cannot return unless she wants her life to be forfeit.

Jude , trying to save Cardan’s life after Balekin managed to poison him, duels with Balekin and kills him after Cardan said he didn’t want him kicked. She manages to save Cardan but meanwhile Madoc and Taryn fool Cardan into letting Madoc out of his vow and takinfyhalf of the Elfhame army.

After they sleep together Cardan comes to Jude’s rooms to tell her the information he seduced out of Nicasia. He tries to talk to her about their. Isn’t together but Jude cuts him off and lies and says she has gotten him out of her system. Cardan leaves.

The Roach tells Jude the Cardan is part of the Court of Shadows and she must to tell him about Lady Asha, his mother. She reluctantly agrees.

The prisoner in the tower of forgetting who grabbed Jude’s ankle is Lady Asha, Cardan’s mother

Cardan is showing glimpses of being a proper high king and Madoc wants Jude to side with him...with him as the leader and strategist

Orlaugh sends her selfies to crash a revel and threaten Cardan into marrying Nicasia

Nicasia tells Jude someone close to her has betrayed her.

Jude discovers that Nicasia shot Cardan by accident when she wanted to surprise him in his bed and found him with a female fairy.

Jude owes Taryn and her motivations with suspicion but she doesnt want to so she gives in and let’s Taryn help her, bring her clothes, jewels, her old servant from Maddox’s house who she suspects is loyal to him.

Taryn shows up unexpectedly at Jude’s door after not speaking to her for 5 months. She reminds Jude of her insecurities and asks questions that make Jude think of her mixed feelings for Cardan that she would just prefer to ignore. She thinks Taryn wants something.

The ghost reminds Jude that Oak will have a hard time ruling in Faerie if he grows up in the human world with no knowledge of Faerie.

Jude kidnaps Vulciber, a guard at the tower of forgetting. He tells her that Queen Orlaugh intends to break her treaty with Cardan.

Mother marrow try to trick Cardone and Jude caught it preventing him from having to marry her or her daughter

Grimsen the Smith wants to return to the High Court but won’t swear fealty to Cardin

Book opens five months into Carson’s rule. Lock wants to become his jester. Belkin wants to contact Cardin to make up.

Crash oh‘s lien loan sharks $300,000 Raven goes to Lenore to try to sell her heart necklace to her Lenore said she won’t buy it but she will lend her $100,000 for a favor and she will arrange to get the heart necklace on at an auction when Raven goes to collect the hundred thousand dollars she finds Lenore in just a thong and stiletto heels in an intimate embrace with Christian and has a shirt off

Crush took out $100,000 loan from a loanshark to pay bounty Hunter to find Fletcher for Ramen in revenge now the bounty Hunter has beat up crush and Braden his transfer the debt to herself I think she’s going to try to sell Christians necklace to Lenore cause all kinds of problems

A Woman from Christians past Lenore is back she has a seat on the higher authority and she’s manipulative and wants to get back into Christians life after betraying him 100 years before

Nico told Victor and Shepard about his past. Victor will go after Cyrus and his gang to protect Keystone and Nico. They are waiting for Cyrus to make a move.
