Apparently Goodreads is no longer adding the books I read to my reading challenge, which was really the only reason I was hanging around. See you guys around elsewhere.

Time for a re-read.

Listening to this one, as I did the first. Once again, the narrators are great. Kudos to whoever is picking the readers here.

From just the first 5%, I can tell this book is gonna be ahhh-mazing. Spending the whole time chanting "Plz don't eff this up, Belcher."

Recently read and loved Tale of the Dueling Neurosurgeons, so I am looking forward to this.

Oh my goodness this is brilliant. One of those books I really wish I'd written myself.

I think my crazy reading binge may be slowing down now. Just gonna spend some time letting it all sink in.

Reading binge on hold for a beta read, and holy cow I might need the lights on for this book if the opening quote is any indication. Good thing it's dark for most of the day right now. :/ :/ :/

I'm pretty much just grabbing things off my TBR shelf at random to fill the gap as I take a social media break. I've learned that I have some really weird books gathering dust.

When you (or your publisher) compare a book to something as iconic as Jane Eyre, you are asking for comparisons. Most readers don't seem to get how creepy Jane Eyre is, and I appreciate how this tale is definitely playing that up.

But the parts of Jane Eyre the author kept, and the parts she chose to change -- I wish they'd been swapped.

Jane Eyre retelling with fey mythology...gonna give it a shot.

Finishing out the year with a DNF, alas. Time to start a few months of re-reads. I have a pile of old favorites with my name on it.

Not entirely certain what made me pick this up, but guess I want to finish out the year with something totally different.

I'm officially drunk on this book.

This book is so, so good. I'm angry that I didn't start it sooner. Everyone stop what you are doing and read this.

I've tried to read this book a few times now, and it never sticks. Perhaps I'm in a funk; recent reviews would suggest that I am. Carrying on for a while.

Interesting. First couple chapters I wasn't so sure about, but this story has some real depth and I'm definitely hooked.

Seriously considering putting this aside. The concept is really cool, but I'm just not hooked by the writing.

I can't figure out if I like this yet. On the one hand: western! Yay! On the other hand: everything else, meh.

I can't. I caaaaaan't. This book is my only reason for living right now.

Kicking myself for not reading JFW sooner. This is wonderful.

Time to get my heart ripped out.
