I have quite mixed feelings. I'd say somewhere between 3.5 and 4. And the book is still falls well into YA category. The beginning was off and dragging for me. I started appreciate the book when it reached 2/3

So far, so good, but I keep my expectations low since I'm not much into magical realism

Such plots are like a chewing gum to me, but... having no alternative at hand for now, well I will endure, since not reading at all is a much greater evil to me

Hilarious! I'm arounf 3 page in but can't help cease laughing:) "Link was sitting in front of a plate loaded down with bacon and his mother’s biscuits ’n’ gravy. ...Yeah, I'm a persistant kind, that means I 'll give up on the book or series if and only if its completely awful, while if it's ok though just a time-killing device i'll stick to it till i finish the series

so, the history does repeat itself. And the book's plot is so intense it's impossible not to read further :)

the humor of the 1st book (The Knife of Never Letting Go) has vanished... things look grimmer and grimmer. i wonder what plans do villains really hatch?
