I saw an interview about this book given by present day Lady Carnarvon about this book and was interested to read it. I know background has to be given, but either I know to much of Almina's background or Fiona is repeating herself. I hope it's the former. I have to admit that so far the Earl seems less like a catch and more like a spoiled brat.

Changed to this book for my bingo read and so happy I did. This so far is acute story and the characters are just as funny as can be. I'd go to this cooking school for fun.

My hubby still doesn't understand how I can laugh out loud while reading a murder mystery. A catered Thanksgiving is giving me a lot to laugh about. Best line, " he wouldn't get a joke if a laugh track was attached to it" My hubby didn't get it. Of course football was on. Need I say more.

This is an interesting type of book. At least for me. I'm getting a little side tracked with the MC inner conversations with herself which happen while she is talking with other people. And she is the least likely type of person to run a B&B. I really do like this character.

I've started Kathi Daley's new series. The beginning made me think of my mother and chuckle a bit. Harmony want to start a shelter for animals. They need funding to get a building but to get the funding they need a building.
I remember my mom telling me when she was looking for her first job she had skills but no experience and everyone told her to come back when she had the experience and they would hire her.

Bought the series at my local library book sale. Decided to reread as I made notes on where to find the donut recipes. It has been so long, it's like reading a new book. YAY!

This is a book that has been sitting on my TBR shelf probably since 1991. Needed a Holiday book for my bingo challenge and this was one I could tell my hubby exactly where it was since I am down for a while. Hand written notebooks sometimes do save the day!

It's funny but as I read the book I hear the voice of Candice Cameron Bure as Roe Tea garden and Marilu Henner as Aida, in my head.

Ok, I never heard of this series. Saw the ad to the right, read about it and with over 700 books to read what do I do? Get #1 of this series to read. Why you ask, it's set in Charleston my second favorite place to visit the first being Savannah and the third St. Augustine. I know not logical. That's what happens when you retire and have to much time to read. Yeah!

This is my new years read. Maybe this is the year I will find what the narrator's name is. I do know it is an old family name. It has to be hidden in these pages somewhere.

Being a bad girl with this book. Trying to find excuses not to finish because I'm enjoying it so much. Wonder if looking at snow is a valid excuse to only try reading a page or two every hour. Right like's that's gonna happen.

I know I should be starting putting up my village, but I need to be more in the Christmasy mood. So I am just going to read.

Still on bed rest and pain pills. So much fun to be able to read all day. Binging on books instead of Netflix

I am enjoying this book. Not at all what I thought it would be. I love the way Jamie is telling the story. Well back to my book. Wonder how long hubby will buy the flu story?

I won this book and finally have the time to read it. Imagine my surprise to see that it takes place in Millersburg, Oh. A place I am well acquainted with since my parents always took us to what they called Amish country so we could get the cheeses, baked goods and quilts. I fondly remember Charm, Ohio and a diner or restaurant that we could get the best chicken dinners at for $5.00.
