struggling with this one

I’m having a hard time with this one. Covid brain or slow book?

I'm loving this book as I do most of LE's work.

Fascinating book that aligns regional food with political growth. Just finished the section on the role of cooks and food in the Civil Rights Movement and am now onto the era of hippies ala The Farm in Tennessee. The book is dense with stories and facts so it is not a fast read.

I gave up and I'm sure I should feel sad about that since I love George Saunders. The structure of this book in unique and for a while held my interest.
