I wasn't expecting this book to be so boring. The author thinks he's on some lecture tour but frankly he's putting many of the students into deep slumber. I wish I was the type of reader who gives up before the finish line.

I am loving this history book. There's a lot to read, digest and research on every page. Plenty of links after every chapter.

I am not smart enough to understand what the author wants to convey. Will try to for another 50 pages or so before admitting defeat.

Will be going slow with this one as every page has something that needs to be researched further.

Very interesting. MK Ultra, mind control, hypnotism, magic mushrooms, poisons and how to use them to kill foreign leaders, etc.

Tiresome. Now I am just skipping through the book. Doesn't tell us anything we don't already know about the pharma industry.

It's a struggle to get through all the I, I, I, Is in the poems. Why are rich people so full of themselves? The rich and influential can get anything published, so she did.

Listening to the audio book and liking it.

Plenty of personal stories but short on recipes. I was hoping for more recipes. Oh well !!

Very nice reading. The saying that "Strong women make strong children" is relevant here in Maye Musk's book.

Like it very much at the start. Now am at 100+ pages and my brain can't take the torture of the jumps between past/present timelines. Not liking it any more. Hopefully will get better.

The book was published in 2015 and since then a lot has happened politics-wise. Russia's Nord Stream pipeline for instance, the overthrow of Assad and the ongoing turmoil in the region, etc. However, there's a lot of valid information in this book. It's an education.

This book is so good, I don't want it to end. Well past page 400 today.

Very good so far and I am expecting it to get better.

This is a graphic memoir which I think I will be able to finish reading in a couple of hours and that will mean I have caught up with my reading challenge and not lagging behind.

This is a book of a dozen or so short stories by different writers. So far I picked to read at random two of those and both were very good. One was by Mikra Namani and the other by Jonathan Stone.

Listening to the English translation as I need a break from the other book I am reading.

First and last for me. I guess I am not much into these kind of fantasy books. Luckily I had opted for the audio version. I can now accelerate the speed and finished up the 28 HOURS of audio into far, far less.

Reminds me of P G Wodehouse books.

I shouldn't have undertaken to complete reading this history tome that I had let go years ago. **sigh**
Also, I think I am missing all the pics and maps,etc. by opting for this audio version. Putting a hold for the ebook now.

Finding it pretty good. Learning about Brunei and its government effects on non-Muslim residents and citizens of the country. Had no idea.

Will be finishing this short stories book as after I looked at the titles I find I have read more than half the stories compiled in this volume.

What can I say? This is a sad tale so far about the Palestinian people suffering their refugee-hood in Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt,etc.

Grips your heart. How can people take on the kind of grief and horror that's the Palestinians' lot? How can the rest of the world just stand by and watch the horror going on in our timeline? b

More than 100 pages in and I have two characters in mind who might have done the dirty, if a dirty was done. I like being a detective and love it when proven right at the end.
