I did NOT see that twist coming

Finally picking up the pace— i feel like the conflict in this book has been pretty passive but i NEED to get to the final book!

The plot just doesnt stop and I’m here for it

The one trope i honestly wish would die is the “if i distance myself from everyone I love then they will be safer”
I get it supposed to create relational tension between characters but I’m just not a fan. Enjoying the rest of the book so far though

dnf — not engaged enough in this series sadly so its been sitting at chapter 8 for too long. time to move on

I just…I want to love it, but the only plot point is survival. I have no idea what anyone’s objectives are beyond that.

How am I this far into the book and yet nothing has happened? or maybe it has but this character is so flippant that I can’t tell if literally anything is important.

I thought authors stopped info dumping as a way to open a book….clearly not
