I’m really not liking this, but since it was a free Audible listen I’ll keep going for now.

So far:
*the physical descriptions of the characters make me feel yucky. There’s only so many times you can read about “petite but busty” women before feeling eww about it
*the way some of the male characters talk about the female characters is just blecckk
*the female main characters are dumber than a box of rocks

So far I'm absolutely loving this. Without divulging too much, there was one scene at the house in NY where the situation really "gets real."

I've never been so affected by a book like I was during that part. Despite having 2/3 of the book left and having some of the end spoiled for me, the feeling of dread from the situation was enough to make me think that this scene was really going to be it for our characters.
