Looked over my 2016 "read" list & realized my reading must give the Goodreads algorithms fits. Win! :)

FYI, Goodreads, after a number of weeks I have concluded: the revised Home page layout still sucks.
No love,

Is it just me, or is everybody suddenly having the top of each GR page vanish under the banner? (On desktop.) I can't see the titles of books on their pages.

I'm re-reading Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series. My husband is re-reading Tamora Pierce's Beka Cooper series.
I like us being us. :)

"... I realized that I was but a single piece on a very large chessboard ..." Yes, Atticus, I've been saying that for the last two books. Glad the penny finally dropped for you! :)

So last night's reading included some of the 1st Zorro book, which dragged me all the way back to the early 80s when I used to watch re-runs of the b&w TV show. I'm not sure I even knew it was based on a book before yesterday!

Two and one-fifth stories in, and already it's got more worthwhile female characters than a Patrick Rothfuss novel. In stories published before 1930.

Why is the new pile of books from the bookstore so much more appealing than the piles still unread from the last two trips?
