This book is taking me forever to read...

The story itself is good but the intuitionist ideas seem unnecessarily confusing.

And here I stopped to read Lonesome Dove instead. I may or may not return.

All I can think so far is "how does this go on for 453 pages?". It's mildly humorous but mostly just a guy in a war who doesn't want to fight. Meh.

This summer I also read A Clockwork Orange. This reminds me of that in many ways, only Ponyboy and his greasers are no where near the horror of Alex and his thugs. Which is a more realistic portrayal?

At first I was a bit bored and couldn't figure out why this is so popular. I kind of agree with a negative review that says the characters are one dimensional. But the story has caught me and now I don't want to put it down and I'm loving Scout and Atticus and Cal especially.

I remember I read this as a young person (10-11, probably younger?) and enjoyed it. And I'm enjoying it now. But I'm still rather glad to discover we've skipped 3 years...

On one hand, I am enjoying reading this (again). On the other, I just kind of find myself wanting to finish it faster.

Why haven't I read this before?!?

Finally getting started... All the political maneuvering...

To my amazement, this was the first time I teared up.

The style is growing on me and so is the story. Just getting interesting...

This writing style bugs me.

While I managed to put it down with no problem when my loan expired, it's surprisingly captivating while actually in process. Hamilton has made it to America!
