I have a tiny, unexplored obsession with submarines..but a submarine and true crime hybrid? I mean. I'm in.

Not feeling like this is her most cohesive book. I get that everything is topically related to finding and holding strong ground, but not seeing how this is building to anything larger yet.

Thirty pages in and I've already experienced the extended pickleball metaphor that I think frames the book and the "Tush Push" chapter she and Adam Grant talked about in allllllll the interviews about the book. I'm feeling a little nervous that this will be chock full of sports analogies that loosely connect. Rhetorically, this move makes sense in terms of stretching to reach male organizational leaders. But ugh.

For 💖 Romance 💖 Book Club. The start is unnecessary chaotic. Will report back.

I almost can't even continue to read this. The main character is hurtling towards danger despite acknowledging everything logically says not to. Makes her exceptionally unlikeable.
