The way my heart SANK. This is how you write a shift.

“Anyway who cares let’s just go. We’re already late as is. You have to work tomorrow”. And my head. It’s starting to throb again. For the first time since we’ve left, Jake removes the key from the ignition and pockets it. I forgot we were still idling. “What’s the rush all of a sudden? It’s not even midnight”.

Slowly but surely entering the seventh week. I’m terrified of how good this has been and how life altering it already was in week 3. I don’t think the timing is right but it’s necessary and a friend has enthusiastically begged me not to give up so here we are.
