Philip is starting Tribe of Hackers Red Team: Tribal Knowledge from the Best in Offensive Cybersecurity
Couldn't get through this one like the past book. The Tribe of Mentors format just doesn't work if there’s no diversification amongst the interviewees.

Philip is reading Thinking in Systems: A Primer
Of all the books I’ve read about systems thinking and mental models, I wish I had read this one first.

Philip is reading Stillness Is the Key
Sadly I didn’t enjoy reading this one compared to his other books. It’s a good primer but I didn’t learn much from the sprawling take on Eastern philosophy compared to his previous deep dives on stoicsm.

Philip is starting The Infinite Game
A slightly more palatable Finite and Infinite Games. The author tends to reuse the same companies and case studies across multiple books but it’s a good way to show benchmarks for faulting and enduring companies I guess.

Philip is 3% done with UNSCRIPTED: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Entrepreneurship
Maybe I’m in a different place than when I read the author’s last book, which I lked a lot. But 30 minutes in and I can tell this one is going to be a 17-hour slough.

Philip is reading Sandworm: A New Era of Cyberwar and the Hunt for the Kremlin's Most Dangerous Hackers
What a great listen. A world tour of malware (Mimikatz, Stuxnet, NotPetya, etc.) and the geopolitics surrounding their use, especially in Ukraine.

Philip is reading Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It
I should have read this earlier. This book and Mindhunter are getting me interested in more ex-FBI authors.

Got a lot of gems from this. But not sure the Tribe of Mentors format works for such a niche topic. You end up seeing a lot of the same answers repeated over and over…
