I haven’t listened to that many audio books, so it came as a surprise to me that there are versions which only contain dialogue and none of the narration. It’s a pity because many of the BBC versions — including the one I found for The Wind in the Willows - seem to be in this vein and I would have liked to listen to them. Very glad to have gotten a version that retains the narration, since it adds a lot.

Listened to the audio book sample from the library out of curiosity—was surprised to recognize the name of the narrator, Hugh Fraiser, since I forget names at the drop of a hat. Did a quick search, and he played Hastings in the Poirot tv show! I loved watching that with my family, so it feels both nostalgic and fitting. Looking forward to hearing more!
