These guys are constantly blowing each other in the blurbs...Justin "Ruiu" EH Smith, who wrote a 2star timewaster of a tome called " the internet is not what you think it is", blurbs this as "compelling elegant prose". Meanwhile Barbakay is writing epilepsy inducing sentences such as "...the defense of free speech has itself often enough taken the form..."

Imagine being an intellectual, engaging in polemic, going back and forth in learned journals with Dostoevsky-the-journalist...and then he puts on his literary genius hat and obliterates you with a classic of world literature.

Incredibly dark.

Guy has an amazing knack for making the obvious tortuous and restating banalities in a complex fashion.

Chernyshevsky was obviously a major influence of Ayn Rand (and Lenin of course.) Russian nihilist roots of capitalism's greatest apologist.

Dostoevsky was clearly a proto fascist, a generation ahead of the italian sorelians.

why do people write like this. As soon as I start seeing mundane points made in this kind of precious lingo I tense up.
