I’ve already listened to this book twice through audible ... AND LOVE IT! Thought it was time to slow down and read it ... it’s weird reading the names I’ve known so well but seeing the way they’re spelled for the first time is like meeting the characters again for the first time!

Before starting the book I’d seen the Elizabeth Montgomery movie and was positive Lizzie was innocent. Now I’m not so certain LOL. Yes the police made a total mess of things, but still ... sure looks like Lizzie just might have been the murderer. Not sure yet (and obviously never will be), but, well, who else could have done it?

The book is good but it’s outside of what I normally read and honestly I’m having a hard time finishing it. It’s too much of a repeat of the first trilogy.

Not really sure how far I've read in this book so please ignore the 10%. This book is exactly what I've been searching for for over a year: a non-politically biased, non-editorialized history book that is written in a very easy to comprehend manner.

I'm only at the beginning of this story and already love it. It was around 5 years ago when I read the Word & Void series (and loved it). Now in this book coming back to this world (spin ahead 100 years) it feels like coming home. I can already sense some setup happening and can't wait to see it all unfold. Refreshingly enjoyable.

Not liking this book very much. The characters are formulaic and boring. The story changed from mildly interesting to creepy bad. I've already moved on to a different book, I may revisit this if I'm bored one day but I'll only skim through it just to see how it ends.

The book is interesting but it's becoming more and more a diary of the doctor who performed these procedures than a story about a series of events. The doctor uses a considerable amount of medical jargon which makes the book at times fairly confusing. Despite these issues the book is still mesmerizing. Just hearing the stories of what these poor souls had to endure will tear your heart out.

I can't finish this book. It is absolutely horrible. I hate the story. I hate the swearing. I hate the characters. And I especially hate the voice of the narrator on the audible version of this book. This is nothing like the first trilogy (which was great). This is not worth my time.
