I am really liking this thus far though. Very nice turns of phrase which is maybe something common to these Hoid's Travails novels as we're calling them now. Really love this protagonist.

I read a romance novel from 2015 last week and "sweater with leggings" was such a 2010s outfit. I think Noelle's high rise barrel jeans and sleeveless bodysuit will firmly place this in the now.

Also realizing that all the flamingo quest reads were white people, so it's refreshing to get melanin in romance!

I just can't get over my space time issues (a former First Lady but the Obama administration is referenced so was the Hudson admin 2016-2020?
