Y'know, I do like reading about women's wrongs in addition to women's rights, and I don't wanna kink shame but this is... an *interesting* midlife crisis

First story is "Infect Your Friends and Loved Ones" which I guess was published on its own in 2016? An engineered virus prevents the human body from absorbing its own hormones forcing everyone to inject testosterone or estrogen, story flipping back and forth between five years after contagion to the year or so before, with the main character as patient zero.

The JP Morgan of it all reminds me of The Gilded Age, even though that's 25-30 years before (so like, when Belle's parents would've been main characters lol)

Aha, looks like the connection between this and previous reads (at least specifically Outbound Flight) is the mysterious disappearance of Vergere, whoever that is. If I recall, Anakin was 14 in OF (and it was published in ~2006?) whereas this is from 2000, so I assume that was Zahn reading everyone else's work for references.

Also, how fascinating to read a 12 year old Anakin before Attack of the Clones.
